When brothers Bhavit and Yashvit Naik started a small software company in Goa in 2013, their goal was simple – to build meaningful products and a business that would grow with purpose. What began as Teknorix has evolved, twelve years later, into Onstro – a Goa-born global software company with products powering over 7,000 businesses across 100 countries.
The journey has been one of quiet persistence – of building products, partnerships, and credibility from the ground up. And unlike most tech startups, the Naik brothers chose a different path. They weren’t chasing funding rounds or valuations. They were focused on building a profitable, long-term business – one that reflected their Goan roots and their father’s entrepreneurial principles.
Two brothers, one vision
The elder brother, Bhavit Naik, completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from D Y Patil College of Engineering, Kolhapur, in 2003. After a brief stint as a software engineer, he joined the family’s construction business founded by their father, Ramakant Naik – a first-generation entrepreneur who began his career as a teacher before moving into sales and then real estate development. “From him, we learned that growth is built on consistency. He taught us to take responsibility, stay grounded, and think long-term,” recalls Bhavit, CEO at Teknorix.
Yashvit Naik pursued his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Software Engineering from Staffordshire University, UK, in 2008, and worked in the UK for two years before returning to Goa in 2010 – a decision that planted the seed for what would soon become Teknorix. “Coming back felt right, as we wanted to build something of our own – from Goa, for the world,” exclaims Yashvit, CTO at Teknorix.
The beginning of Teknorix
In 2013, the brothers co-founded Teknorix in Goa – a small product-focused software team that began with product engineering and custom software services for clients in the US and Europe. Over time, the company earned a reputation for reliability and strong design. Their turning point came in 2016, when they launched Jobsoid, a cloud-based recruiting platform built entirely in Goa. Jobsoid simplified hiring workflows for companies of all sizes and quickly grew into Goa’s first globally successful SaaS product, built and scaled from Goa.
“Jobsoid proved that you don’t have to leave Goa to build global software,” says Bhavit. “It gave us the confidence to think bigger.”
Global projects, local excellence
Building on that success, the team expanded into a suite of products – Onstro 365, Projects, Workplace, Helpdesk, and the soon-to-launch Airkron – all designed to make work simpler and more connected. Along the way, Onstro has also delivered large-scale platforms for global clients. Some notable ones include developing an enterprise asset management platform for one of the top CMMS providers in the US. The system is used by Meta, Amazon, California’s emergency services, and more than 50 US cities to manage infrastructure and facilities.
Another is, winning a public tender in Belgium to build software platforms for a leading scientific research institute, further strengthening their global reach and credibility. And not to forget, building YOT – a next-generation digital platform designed to transform the global yachting industry by connecting crews, owners, suppliers, and guests in one integrated ecosystem.
“Each project taught us something: great software doesn’t just work on its own – it works together,” says Bhavit.
Rebranding for clarity – One stroke, one flow
In 2025, Teknorix rebranded to Onstro, uniting all its products under one connected identity and vision. The name reflects their philosophy – ‘One Stroke, One Flow’ – drawn from the art of one-stroke painting, where a single, purposeful motion brings everything together.
“Onstro isn’t just a new name,” says Bhavit, adding, “It’s the way we think – connected, fluid, and built to scale.”
At the core of Onstro lies Onstro Flow, a proprietary framework that powers every product they build. It also drives the Onstro 365 Enterprise Agility Platform, enabling the team to build, integrate, and launch new SaaS tools faster – all within a unified, scalable ecosystem.
“Onstro isn’t about adding more software,” says Yashvit. “It’s about making software work together.”
Bootstrapped by design, independent by choice
What truly sets Onstro apart is how it has grown – without investors. The company is completely bootstrapped, funded entirely through its own revenue. Their background in business, honed through years of working in the family’s construction enterprise, gave them a practical understanding of profit, cash flow, and sustainability.
“We weren’t chasing funding rounds,” Bhavit says. “We were focused on building a profitable business that could scale to the next level,” he explains.
This independence allows them to stay focused on quality, culture, and long-term relationships — values often lost in the startup race.
Goa roots, global reach
Today, Onstro employs more than 85 engineers, designers, and product specialists at its development and product centre in Goa. Bhavit now divides his time between Goa and Portugal, where he is establishing Onstro’s European base for expansion.
“Goa will always be home. It is where we learned, built, and continue to grow,” says Bhavit.
As Onstro prepares to launch Airkron – its first hardware product – and deepen its global footprint, the brothers remain guided by the same principle that started it all: build with purpose, stay profitable, and let your work speak for itself.
