The gas cylinder add-ons: The Goan looked at the issue ofgas agencies making it mandatory for new customers to buy add-ons like stovesand utensils with their gas connection, despite the fact that signs at theagencies declared that buying add-ons was voluntary. The gas companies claimedthat such purchases were at the discretion of the customer and that theirtie-ups with companies that manufactured add-ons was to provide customers withchoices at the agency

Traffic signals in Goa: The Goan reviewed the government’sdecision to install traffic signals at a few junctions in Goa. On furtherinvestigation, The Goan not only discovered that none of them were functional,but that no proper research was done by the different government departments,so that traffic signals enabled better management of traffic instead ofcreating congested junctions

Encroachment of footpaths: Across the towns in Goa, butespecially in a busy town like Vasco, footpaths are being encroached upon,making life difficult for pedestrians to maneuver through the cities. The Goanalso discovered that a 16 year old judgement by the High Court on clearingfootpaths had been ignored.
