The other day I was driving from Bambolim to Panaji on the four-lane highway in a traffic that was moving at snail's pace. Both lanes of the road were packed. Suddenly, the driver of a car from another state tried to act smart and began to squeeze in between the two lanes. All other drivers, including me started yelling and chiding the driver for aggressive behaviour that invariably results in gridlocks, thus aggravating the traffic jam. It struck me then as to how Goan drivers are generally more disciplined than others and mostly stick to their lanes despite the rush and traffic. We need to feel proud of this. Let us hope that citizens of this state improve even further and make Goa an example of ideal traffic.
