The protruding iron rods at the concrete slab placed along the drain adjacent to municipal garden in Ponda prove dangerous for the lives of innocent pedestrians proceeding along this strategic route. Indeed, senior citizens proceeding along this route would be the worst sufferers in the process. As on Sunday, May 27 at 6 pm, the situation in this regard was found to be stagnant. The Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) as a competent authority needs to consider this matter with the seriousness it deserves and arrange to install an alternate slab over this drain so that pedestrians are assured relief on a permanent basis. Let us hope that prompt positive action will follow.
