GOA Vancouver commemorated the National Volunteer Week (April 19–25) by hosting a heartfelt Volunteer Appreciation Evening at ANAF Richmond BC on April 25, to celebrate its dedicated volunteers, the pillars of the organisation.
The event was filled with warmth, gratitude, and community spirit, as guests were treated to a lavish Goan dinner prepared by GOA Vancouver Social and Cultural Director Ashney Rebello, complemented by entertainment by musician Colin R, creating a memorable and joyful atmosphere for all.
“This special gathering was an opportunity to recognise the profound impact of volunteerism and to honour the individuals who consistently contribute their time, energy, and passion to support GOA events and initiatives,” said GOA Vancouver President Anne da Silva.
“Volunteers are the backbone of our community, and the event was a reflection of our deep appreciation for all that they do. Their commitment continues to inspire and strengthen our community. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of our volunteers.”
As a token of its appreciation, GOA Vancouver presented each volunteer with a Certificate of Appreciation acknowledging their invaluable contributions.
The GOA Vancouver executive committee extended its sincere thanks to Clifford Falerio for his support in printing the certificates, and its heartfelt gratitude to Ashney Rebello for going above and beyond in preparing a meal in celebration of its volunteers.
