The party season in Goa sure calls for lots of opportunities to dress up and lay on the make-up, but going to bed with a face full of makeup is so not good for your skin. Here are some tips to help you through the party season.
Always remember to remove your make-up before hitting the sack. If you don't have some make-up remover handy, use some unscented lotion or even baby oil. This has the added benefit of moisturising as it removes.
Because make-up and make-up removers destroy the skins natural moisture, switch to a cream-based moisturising facewash. And while you are at it, treat yourself to a nourishing do-it-yourself face pack a day after the party. Spend some time reviving your skin by opening the clogged pores with a steam session and then exfoliating it with a mild scrub which will force all the grime, make-up residue and impurities out.
Papaya, honey, almond milk, honey, etc are great ways to hydrate the skin and combat dryness.
End your day with a thick night cream.
Most importantly, allow your skin to breathe by declaring a no make-up day. This will help it get its original glow back.
