MARGAO: Loutolim Sarpanch Sanfrancisco Fernandes has resigned from his post. The Salcete Block Development Officer has scheduled an election on July 9 to fill the vacancy. In his resignation letter, Fernandes said he was stepping down due to personal responsibilities and business commitments that need his full attention.
“It has been an honour to serve the people of Loutolim. I am grateful for the support I received from the community, the staff, officials and my fellow Panchayat members,” he said.
He added, “This decision was made after careful thought and with a sense of responsibility towards the Panchayat and my duties. I assure you that I am resigning only for personal reasons and not due to any outside pressure or conflict.”
