The body of an unidentified man was recovered from the rough sea at Anjuna beach on Thursday morning around 11 am. A tourist spotted the body lying among the rocks and immediately alerted the police and local residents. Acting swiftly, Anjuna police, along with the coastal police and local labourers, retrieved the body from the water. The body has been shifted to Goa Medical College (GMC) for postmortem examination. Authorities confirmed that no identity documents were found on the deceased. Anjuna police have registered a case and further investigation is underway to determine the cause of death and the identity of the man.
