St Ann's Church Ponda Parish welcomed the revered statue of Our Lady of Fatima, brought from Portugal by Goa's World Apostolate Fatima Chairman to Ponda city and Ponda church. The statue's visit was a special blessing for the community and the Eucharistic Mass was concelebrated by Parish Priest Fr Francis Rozario along with other Ponda Parish priests Fr Anil, Fr Hemant and Fr Robert. Fr Rosario in his homily asked faithful to transform lives through prayers, reparation and reciting the rosary daily. "We're grateful for this opportunity to deepen our faith and seek the intercession of Our Lady of Fatima," says Ponda WAF. There were prayers & rosary session held by all 16 Samudais and the next day the statue moved to all the outstation Chapels and finally at Tisk Ponda a long procession along with the statue of Fatima mounted on jeep moved to the Mount Carmel Chapel , Ponda where the Ponda Chapel Priest Fr Carlos Dias welcomed Mother Fatima garlanded and offered incense.
