The Indian chapter of the World Human Rights Protection Commission (WHRPC) has honoured two Goans, Pradip Sawant and Pramod Naik Sardessai with the doctorate in their respective field as well as the honorary International membership in the organization. The function was held at International Centre, New Delhi where noted human rights activists over the world attended. It is to be noted that Sawant is an English teacher while Naik Sardessai is an experienced hand in the finance sector.
PERNEMArt and Culture Minister Govind Gaude has lauded Pernem journalist Nivrutti Shirodkar for documenting the lives of Goan artistes.
