PANAJIThe Carmelite Monastery, Margao has released details of the annual Novenas and Feast of their Patroness, Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The novenas begin from July 7 and will go on till July 15. On these days, there will be a Novena Mass in English at 6.15 am, while the Novena Mass in Konkani will be held at 6 pm, preceded by the recitation of Vespers from 5.30 pm onwards. The feast will be celebrated on July 16. The first mass in English will be at 6.15 am. The second mass in Konkani at 7.30 am, will be followed with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament for silent adoration, which will be open to all. At 12 noon, the Carmelite Community will be praying the Matins (Office of the Readings) and Midday Prayer and conclude the adoration. On the same day, Vespers in Konkani will be held at 4.30 pm and the Solemn Festal Mass at 5 pm, will be presided over by Rev Fr Romeo Monteiro, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman. As is the age old practice with the Carmelite Monastery, blessed Scapulars will be distributed to all, during the Masses.
