MARGAO: Navelim Sporting Club shot-out SCC Lotoulim 5-3 via the tie-breaker and moved to the semi finals of the 40th Areal Panchayat cup inter-village football tournament, organised by Sao Jose de Areal SC, at Padribhat football ground, on Friday.
Clinton Niasso of Navelim and Shelford Fernandes of Lotoulim missed chances to score in the seventh and 10th minute respectively.
The full-time score remained goalless. In the tie-breaker, Navelim Sporting club netted through Clinton Niasso, Sadroy Costa, Ronaldo Pereira, Nevin Pereira and Suraj Naik while Ignatius D'Silva, Shelford Fernandes and Steve Gomes found the net for SCC Loutolim.
Ronaldo Pereira of Navelim Sporting Club was presented the man-of-the-match award by club ex-national player an ex-player of Churchill bros Antonio Mateus.
