Mormugao police arrested a youth from UP but residing in Vasco on late Thursday night on charges of stealing a motorcycle and four mobile phones.
According to Mormugao Police Inspector Ajit Umarye, a police team led by PSI Aditya Naik Gaonkar was on night patrol when it spotted Vikas Kumar Saroj (22) riding a motorcycle without a registration number plate.“They stopped the rider and found out the vehicle was stolen. On further investigation, four stolen mobiles were recovered from him. The accused has been arrested and since he is involved in theft cases in Vasco, he will be handed over to the port town police,” said PI Umarye.
