Margao Council unveils late Ravi Naik’s portrait at Municipal Hall Portrait of former Chief Minister late Ravi Naik unveiled at the Margao Municipal Hall.

MARGAO:  The Margao Municipal Council (MMC) on Wednesday unveiled a portrait of former Goa Chief Minister late Ravi Naik at the Municipal Hall during the council meeting. The portrait was unveiled in the presence of Naik’s son, Ritesh Naik, Margao Municipal Chairperson Damu Shirodkar, Chief Officer Madhu Narvekar, councillors and members of the public. With this, Ravi Naik’s portrait joins those of other prominent leaders displayed in the Municipal Hall.

Thanking the civic body for the gesture, Ritesh Naik said his late father had dedicated his life to serving the poor and underprivileged and had made a significant contribution to Goa’s development. Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson Damu Shirodkar remembered the leadership shown by late Ravi Naik during his tenure as Chief Minister and later as Goa’s Home Minister.
