Higher Secondary School Librarians Association of Goa ( HISSLAG ) organized a felicitation program recently at Don Bosco School Hall, Panjim “Goa. This has been organized to recognize and acknowledge the contributions of retired and retiring librarians of Higher secondary School of Goa, towards the student community and society at large.
The following members were felicitated by the association on their superannuation: Kanaka Swamy; Shaila Porob; Suresh Tari; Prakash Gavandalkar along with Sunil Metar and Sambaji Gaikwad who are retiring shortly during this academic year.
Felicitated members were introduced by Nirmala Gonsalves, Sneha Raikar, Anupa Raikar, Prajyoti Desai, Sandesh Phadte and Atma Thakur respectively. They were felicitated with a shawl and a memento. In response, each of the felicitated member spoke on the occasion and appreciated the association's efforts towards professional development and also for their recognition, contributions towards the profession.
Earlier the President of HISSLAG Sadanand Naik welcomed the gathering. Archana Pernekar and her group sang a welcome song followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp by the felicitated members. Sanjeev Asgaonkar proposed a vote of thanks and Caraciol Rodrigues compered the programme.
