A Porvorim police team on Tuesday returned from New Delhi along with two accused, Safiqul Mulla and Shafiq, in connection with the burglary of an ATM in Socorro.
According to Porvorim police, investigations into the burglary of Rs 19.38 lakh from the ATM of a nationalised bank at Socorro had revealed that the accused were in New Delhi.
The three accused were nabbed in a joint operation in New Delhi and a Porvorim police team led by PSIs Pratik Bhat and Paresh Sinari later went to New Delhi to take custody of the two accused.
Police recovered an amount of Rs 3.5 lakh form the accused and brought them back to Goa.
The third accused, who was injured after being shot while attempting to flee, will be brought to Goa later.
The two accused will be produced before the Judicial Magistrate First Class on Wednesday for remand, police said.
Investigations are being conducted under the guidance of Police Inspector Ninad Deulkar.
