Woman ends life at Sancoale

A 37-year-old woman ended her life in her house at Shindole-Sancoale on Sunday. According to police sources, family members noticed the body of Savita Jayesh Naik and notified the Verna Police. The body has been sent for an autopsy.

While the motive behind the death is unclear, the deceased was married for 14 years and has two children. Verna PSI Sanket Talkar is investigating the case.

Guard nabbed for stealing wires from Verna factory

VASCO A security guard was arrested on charges of stealing copper wires from the same factory which he was guarding at the Verna industrial estate. The company CEO Sanjay Ahire had lodged a complaint that a person had stolen copper moulded tubes worth Rs 25,000 on Monday.During investigations, police arrested Ajay Kumar Nanda (36), a native of Orissa but residing at Verna, who had been working as a security guard for the last 45 days.
