A 26-year-old man died in a road mishap at Sancoale on Wednesday.
According to Verna PSI Shridhar Kamat, police received a wireless message from the Casualty police at GMC that Vijay Patel had died of injuries in hospital following a road mishap at Sancoale.
"During the enquiry, it was revealed that the mishap took place as the deceased was riding a scooter from Birla Cross Junction towards Queeny Junction. On reaching near Kala Bhavan at Sancoale, lost his balance and accidentally fell inside the water drainage along with the scooter and sustained serious bodily injuries.”
“The deceased was moved to GMC Bambolim by a 108 ambulance and died of injuries while undergoing treatment. An autopsy has been conducted and further investigation is underway," said Kamat.
