Two houses were damaged after a large branch of a peepal tree fell on two houses at Carambolim in the wee hours of Thursday.The incident damaged the roof and the mud walls of the two houses belonging to Savitri Zambaulikar and Sumati Gaude.
Old Goa fire station personnel along with locals helped in clearing the branch from the rooftop of both the houses. Carambolim Sarpanch Uttam Murgaonkar was present at the site and oversaw the operation to clear the branch.
