The Botanical Society of Goa (BSG) has announced the 30th edition of its annual all Goa Garden competition to be held in March and the last date to send entries is February 28. “We have been holding this much awaited competition every year for the past 30 years,” stated Miguel Braganza, BSG. The competition will be in five categories - Organic vegetable garden (on ground), Organic Vegetable Garden (terrace), Home Garden (ornamental and vegetables, Home Terrace Garden (ornamental and vegetables) and Innovative Garden for Prisca Martins Memorial prize. The competition will be conducted in the above categories in the following manner “ the competitors will have to submit their entries to the Botanical Society of Goa on their email address [email protected] by February 28 with a concise video recording of the garden. “A team of garden experts will then scrutinize the videos and shortlist the contestants for personal visit by the team. Prize positions will be decided by the visiting team by judging the garden for its various attributes,” stated Alvito Dsilva, secretary, BSG.
