Manipal Hospitals Goa in association with Gokarma Oncology Association and IMA Bicholim branch organized a get together of young warriors to mark the World Cancer Day 2022 at Miramar beach keeping the theme of the event as ‘Where there is love, there is no Pain’ and taking this message forward the fun filled program saw participation of patients, doctors, support staff of the hospital and family members. The participants were felicitated for showing determination in the fight against Big ‘C’. Noted Goan singer Hema Sardesai blessed the children and showed her solidarity for the cause. Dr Tariq Thomas IAS, secretary, Urban Development, Ravi Dhawan IAS, secretary, Education, Ruchika Katyal IAS, Collector South Goa, and Padma Shri awardee Brahmanand Shankwalkar, Manish Trivedi, unit head, Manipal Hospital, Dr Medha Salkar, president, IMA Bicholim branch, Dr Shekhar Salkar, president, Gokarna Oncology Association were present on the occasion. Games were played by all bringing smiles on the faces of the children.
