The Directorate of Social Welfare is implementing centrally sponsored ‘Pre-Matric, Post “Matric Scholarship Schemes’ to the students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class Community and Dr Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to the students belonging to the Economically Backward Classes (EBC). The eligibility criteria and other details of the scheme are available on the website of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment www.socialjustice.nic.in and also on the website of the Directorate of Social Welfare www.socialwelfare.goa.gov.in
All the Scheduled Caste/OBC/EBC students have to apply online by login in to the State Scholarship portal www.swportal.goa.gov.in by December 15. All the schools/institutions/colleges will verify applications of the students online.
