Chairman of Goa Industrial Development Corporation and Aldona MLA, Glenn Ticlo on Wednesday said the BJP-led government may have erred in taking certain decisions but the government was with the people and any wrong decisions could be reversed in the interest of the people.
“Sometimes we make mistakes. Our decisions can go wrong but immediately we (take corrective measures). We are with the people. Once people say, don’t want, we will look into it. The CM will take the right decision there is no doubt on it. We won’t go against people’s wishes,” Ticlo said.
The Aldona MLA was speaking to journalists at the sidelines of a function to lay the foundation stone for construction of a retaining wall and repair of roads in Aldona constituency.
Continuing, Ticlo said that most of the protests and objections to the projects were politically motivated.
“They want to play politics. We have to see what is the ground reality and what is required and what is not. Our CM is very dedicated and has been doing a fantastic job. He will definitely find a way out,” he said.
He also said that the agitations in different parts of the State were to mislead and confuse the people.
“Agitations are happening and will happen. I also would have agitated if I was in the opposition. That is called politics,” he said.
Ticlo also said the Aam Aadmi Party was trying to mislead the people of Goa with the free electricity promise.
“The free power promise may have worked in Delhi but Goa was different and Goans would not buy it. What is happening in Delhi does not mean it will happen in every other State and Goa is different. It’s very easy to speak…” he said.
AAP leader Raghav Chadha on Tuesday said that 73 per cent of people of Goa will get free power and 20 per cent will get 50 per cent reduction in power bills within 48 hours after AAP comes to power in Goa in 2022 assembly elections.
