PANAJI: In preparation for the upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha in 2024, the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, in collaboration with Disability Alliance for Inclusive Goa, organised a special drive on December 21 at Dr KB Hedgewar High School, Cujira.
The focus of the drive was to mark Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) on the Electoral Roll, ensuring they have access to facilities at polling stations on Election Day. PwDs actively participated in a wheelchair Musal Folk Dance, promoting inclusivity and encouraging others to register and vote in large numbers.
Chief Electoral Officer Ramesh Verma, IAS, urged attendees to raise awareness in their communities to ensure no PwD voter is left unenrolled.
