CANACONA
The Canacona Block of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will host the finals of the CM Chasakh state-level Fugdi competition at Shristhal-Canacona on Saturday. According to BJYM Canacona Block President Satish Gosavi, around 35 teams from as many constituencies from 40 constituencies will compete in the finals of 'Fudgi' competition, with each team consisting of minimum of 12 participants. The competition with over 500 participants will be held in a day-long programme from 9 am at GM Celebrations Hall, Shristhal on Saturday, with the Dy Speaker Isidore Fernandes as the chief guest.
Canacona BJP Block President Nandip Bhagat said arrangements for snacks, refreshments and food have been for the day-long contest at the venue. Canacona Winners Indreshwar (Gaondongrim) Fugdi group has won the Canacona taluka contest of the fugdi competition and will compete from Canacona constituency at the finals. “There will be three judges and the prize distribution will be held at Panaji on December 13,” informed BJYM Secretary Ramkrishna. Others present at the news conference were BYJM executive members Nikhil Pagi and Upendra Pagi.
