There will be a continuing medical education (CME) programme in Hematology on April 4, at 12 noon in the Pathology Department Seminar hall. The CME will be chaired by Dr R G Wiseman Pinto, Professor and Head of Pathology Department GMC and the President Asian Society of Cytopathology and Dr Mahadev Swamy, Consultant Clinical Hematologist and Bone Marrow Transplant Physician Goa. The speakers include Dr Joyce Mendes, Dr Sailee Raikar, Dr Parita Talaulikar and Dr Amog Bude.
The topics to be covered at the CME include Hemosiderosis, clinical features, diagnosis, imaging, treatment, prevention, prognosis and complications, gross microscopy and special stains.
The CME is open to doctors and medical students and is as per National Medical Commission, National Board of Examinations, Goa University and NEP National Education Policy guidelines.
