Canacona police have arrested two youth from Gadag-Karnataka, but presently residing in Canacona on charges of possessing ganja worth Rs 61,600 at Palolem on Monday night.
According to police sources, Ramesh Muradi (24), presently residing at Mastimoll-Canaocna, and Krishnappa Naik (21), presently residing at Khalwadde-Canacona, who are staying in rented rooms, were reportedly rounded up for their suspicious movements, when they were found in illegal possession of dry greenish colour leafy/flowery substance weighing 616 grams and suspected to be Ganja, valued at Rs 61,600.
The two youth have been arrested under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of NDPS Act and further investigation is being carried out by Canacona police led by PI Harish Raut Dessai.
