Seminar on rights of senior citizens at GU today

PANAJI
A one-day national seminar on The Rights of Elderly Citizens: Issues and Challenges will be held on March 27, from 9 am, at the auditorium, Block E, Chemistry, Science Block, Goa University. The seminar is being organised by Manohar Parrikar School of Law, Governance and Public Policy; D D Kosambi School of Social Sciences and Behavioural Studies, Goa University supported by the Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa.

The one-day national seminar aims to shed light on the struggles faced by senior citizens, raise societal consciousness regarding their obligations in safeguarding elderly rights, and educate academic minds on the inherent rights and societal contributions of the elderly. Additionally, it seeks to address the challenges encountered by the elderly and highlight existing frameworks for their protection and support.
