Fifty-two participants from all over Goa attended the ‘Youth Aspire’, a career guidance programme was organised by the Diocesan Youth Centre (DYC) at St John Paul II Complex Margao on August 9. This year, DYC collaborated with Goa Dimensions, an organisation of around 60 passionate Goan Entrepreneurs. ‘Youth Aspire’ was conducted under the guidance of Fr Blaise Lobo (Director of DYC), Sr Loretta (Animator) and the DEXCO team. The resource persons for the event were: Sheryl Lucia Vas (Eventiva by Sheryl), Jason Andrade (Arrow Enterprises) along with 20 other resource persons from Goa Dimensions, Andrea D'Souza (aptitude test), Russel D’Souza (financial advisor), Gabriel Pinto (real estate), Gavin Xavier (business consultant), Dr Erle Britto (leadership mentor), Vanessa Almeida (The Gift House), Rekha Mendes (candles and sustainable goods), Esther Mascarenhas (soaps), Anthony Da Cunha (coffee machines) and Elzina Gracias (beautician). The field visits included Metal Detector Factory in Chicalim by Sekhar Harikander and QMC Car Workshop in Verna by Evancio Quadros.
