Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai inaugurated the Poly House of Orchids in the Raj Bhavan Estate. This Poly House contains two popular varieties of Orchid known as Dendrobium and Mokara Hybrid. There are 1,300 Orchid plants in this Poly House.
It is informed that Raj Bhavan cares for the forests and environment within its estate which is rich with flora and fauna. This year during Vanamahotsav Raj Bhavan has planted 500 fruit bearing saplings.
