Rear Admiral Philipose G Pynumootil, Flag Officer Commanding Goa Area (FOGA) was awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) by President Ram Nath Kovind, during Defence Investiture Ceremony (Phase-1) at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday. Rear Admiral Philipose was conferred with AVSM for distinguished service of exceptional order. The Admiral was earlier awarded the Nao Sena Medal, for his tenure in command of INS Brahmaputra.
