PANAJI: The 150th book ‘Thatha Varathir Ikkilla’, a collection of short stories, penned by Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai will be released at the hands of R N Ravi, Governor of Tamil Nadu on July 30 at 5 pm at Alexander Marthoma Hall, Thiruvalla, Kerala. A poet, writer, former politician, orator, lawyer and administrator, Governor Pillai is also a philanthropist and a thinker with 149 books to his credit. He writes in English and Malayalam on politics, social, legal issues, and poetry. His popular book ‘Dark days of Democracy’ was launched by PM Narendra Modi. The introduction and welcome speech will be given by N M Raju, chairman, NCS Group district president, Kerala Congress (M) and the presidential address will be by P Prasad, minister for Agriculture, government of Kerala. Dr Sreeshailam Unikrishnan, professor and literary critic will do the introduction. The first copy of the book would be received by Theodosius Marthomas Metropolitan in the presence of Anto Antony, MP, Mathew T Thomas, MLA, O Rajgopal, former Union minister, who will also address the gathering.
