Illegal sand extraction sites raided in Bicholim

Around 102 cubic metres of illegally extracted sand of was seized by a Flying Squad in a joint raid at Amona and Navelim in Bicholim taluka.

The flying squad, headed by Bicholim Mamlatdar Pravinjay Pandit, consisted of Suraj Kalangutkar (Assistant Mines Geologist), Sahadev Mote (Circle Inspector) and Gaurish Naik (Talathi).

The seized sand was later dumped back into the Mandovi River, as per orders by the high court.
