PANAJI
A new store of 'Lighthouse: Archdiocesan Centre for Books, Religious Articles & Gifts' was solemnly inaugurated and blessed on August 24, at the Institute Piedade complex in the capital city. Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrão inaugurated and blessed the store in the presence of the Auxiliary Bishop of Goa and Daman, Bishop Simião Fernandes. The civic administration was represented at the event by City Corporation of Panaji (CCP) Mayor Rohit Monserrate and CCP Commissioner Clen Madeira, who both graced the occasion. Several prominent clergy and religious figures, including the Diocesan Financial Administrator, Fr Noel da Costa, alongside other priests and sisters from across the Archdiocese attended the inaugural. The establishment of this spiritual and cultural hub in the heart of Panaji was realised under the initiative of Fr Jovial Fernandes, the Director of Lighthouse. The interior design and setup of the store was conceptualised and executed by architect Chrissy Jane Fernandes.
