This is what exactly happened when Ponda police seized two trucks carrying 210 boxes of liquor worth Rs 7 lakh, in a racket involving the illegal interstate transportation of liquor.
According to reports, a Ponda police team was patrolling the streets when two trucks were spotted with the identical registration number plates (GJ-31-T-3878) at Kundaim.
"The truck cleaner Aslam Kasim Sheikh of Mumbai has been arrested in this connection and a search is on for the other accused," said Ponda PI Mohan Gaude.
An offence has been registered in this connection and investigations are in progress under the supervision of PI Gaude.
