Youth Club of Manora-Raia in association with Curtorim BJP Mandal has organised a musical show at the Manora grounds on November 10 coinciding with the birthday celebrations of social worker and ST leader Anthony Barbosa. The musical show presented by Master composer Edwin D’Costa will feature leading singers and tiatrists, including Ben Evangelisto and others. Addressing the media, President of Youth Club of Manora-Raia Shrikant Sawant informed that the musical evening is being staged at the Manora grounds, Raia as part of the birthday celebrations of Anthony Barbosa. He said prominent personalities such as Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral, Art and Culture Minister Govind Gawde, besides party leaders, including Party president Sadanand Tanavade will attend the birthday celebrations. In his address, Edwin D’Costa said he will be staging the musical evening with the support of noted artists from the Konkani tiatr stage at Manora grounds in honour of Anthony Barbosa. He said Barbosa had done yeoman service to the society during the pandemic, adding that the BJP ST leader had contributed to the Konkani tiatr stage in his own way. The show will be hosted by Vincy Quadros.
