PANAJIThe DD Kosambi Festival of Ideas organised by the Department of Art and Culture was to start at Ravindra Bhavan Margao on November 10 but it has been postponed due to the repair works at the Ravindra Bhavan and very little response from the student community. The five-day festival that was to be held from November 10 to 14 has been postponed as the exams in schools and colleges in Goa fall during this period and thus there has been very little response from the students, said a press release by the director of Art and Culture Sagun Velip. Velip also mentioned in the press note that the Ravindra Bhavan is currently undergoing some repair works which is not likely to be completed by the time of the festival. That is why the festival has been postponed. The festival was to host speakers like Devdutt Patnaik, Suraj Yengde and Madhavi Menon, who are known to be the supporters of organisations that preach leftist ideology, which compelled Art and Culture minister Govind Gaude to cancel the Festival of Ideas, according to some sources.
