PANAJIThe Penitential Procession of Saints (Santanchem Pursanv) which takes place in the fifth week of Lent, will be held on April 4 at 4:30 pm, at St Andrew’s Church, Goa-Velha. Fr Emidio Pinto, Parish Priest of St Andrew’s Church, Goa-Velha, will deliver the homily during the mass, which will then be followed by the Procession of the Saints, beginning with the Tau and Crossed Arms, a symbol of the Franciscan Order, followed by around 31 Statues, including that of the Patron of the Archdiocese, St Joseph Vaz. The life size statues of the saints will be kept open for the public veneration on April 4,5 and 6, at St Andrew’s Church, Goa-Velha. On April 5, there will be Masses at 7 am, 9 am and 4 pm, and on April 6 at 7 am in the church.
