Special programme for senior citizens today

PANAJI: The Directorate of Social Welfare and YUVA Panaji are organising a special one-day programme exclusively for senior citizens on February 21 at Lion Club Hall, Desai Nagar, Sanquelim, from 9.30 am to 4 pm.

The programme has been planned keeping the needs, interests and comfort of senior citizens in mind. It will include informative sessions on financial literacy by Diksha Shetye Panvelkar, digital literacy by students of V M Salgaocar College of Law, Ayurveda for well-being by Dr Tanmayee Kerkar, spiritual meditation by Brahmakumaris, and kinetic and mental skill activities by Dr Tejal Keluskar and Kundan Patil. A Kokedama (Japanese moss ball) demonstration by Leekhani Naik will also be held. The programme aims to bridge the gap, help senior citizens feel more confident and informed, and provide an opportunity to socialise. For registration, contact Vaman on 7875803204.
