VASCO: A Dabolim resident was allegedly cheated of Rs 53 lakh after being promised a residential plot that was never transferred. According to a complaint by Satyawan Sharma, the accused, Kamal Singh Kouraw from Bhopal, claimed to be the owner and authorised seller of a plot in Dabolim. Between August 2022 and till date, he allegedly convinced Sharma to pay Rs 53 lakh for the property. Police said Rs 46 lakh was paid through bank transactions and Rs 7 lakh in cash. The accused allegedly neither handed over the plot nor refunded the money. Vasco police have registered an offence.
