PANAJI: ‘Melody, Movement & More!’ will be held at the historic Figueiredo Mansion in Loutolim on February 21 at 7 pm, featuring Portuguese violinist Eliseu Silva and pianist Olga Amaro, who have performed widely across Europe. The concert will showcase rediscovered works of early 20th-century Portuguese composer Nicolau Medina Ribas, whose manuscripts were nearly lost at his Porto estate. Silva and Amaro will bring these rescued compositions to life, highlighting a lesser-known chapter of European music history. Amaro said performing in Goa celebrates shared Indo-Portuguese heritage and cultural dialogue. Nalini Elvino de Sousa of Communicare Trust described it as a rare historical and musical encounter. The Dona Paula-based Trust has promoted languages and artistic heritage through concerts and workshops for over two decades.
