Upbeat after a number of key projects have been sanctioned in Canacona taluka, the Canacona BJP Mandal will facilitate Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Dy Chief Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar during their visit to Canacona on Friday.
Addressing a news conference, newly elected Canacona Mandal President Nandip Bhagat said a programme has been arranged at Shristhal Panchayat hall to felicitate the two leaders.
Dy Speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes made special mention of the Rs 10 crore municipal administrative building, the Krishi Ghar project and other projects sanctioned in Canacona.
“Both our chief minister and also deputy chief minister have rendered exceptional help for sustainable development of Canacona constituency,” said Fernandes.
Meanwhile, Canacona Mahila Morcha President Manuja Naikgaunkar lauded the CM's decision not to insist on life certificate and income certificate for DSSS and Griha Adhar schemes.
“This is a welcome move and will help people all over the State,” she said.
