The South Goa Sessions Court on Friday convicted and sentenced a native of Karnataka to six months imprisonment under the NDPS Act. Accused Dharmanna Chavan was held guilty and convicted for the offences under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) and Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act. In this case, Harkesh, Intelligence Officer, Narcotics Control Bureau, Sub-Zone Goa received specific information through reliable sources that one person named Dharamanna Chavan resident of Karnataka is living in a Guest House at Benaulim with a good quantity of Narcotics/Psychotropic substances at his place.
