Verna police on Saturday arrested two youth on charges of snatching a gold chain at Utorda. Verna PSI Shridhar Kamat said said Rosy Fernandes (66) of Utorda had filed a complaint stating that she was travelling on her two-wheeler along with her granddaughter, when two persons on a scooter snatched her gold chain worth Rs 1.12 lakh near Corporation Bank at Utorda and fled from the site.
Investigations led police to arrest Faizan Sayyad (21) of Davorlim and Tausif Khan (22) Rumdamol-Margao under Sections 356, 379 r/w 34 IPC. Further investigations are in progress.
