PANAJIMorji Sarvajanik Shree Durga Samiti is organising the third edition of Eco-friendly akash kandil contest restricted to Morjim area on October 28. The contest will be held at 7 pm at Shree Dattatrey Devasthan hall and the winners will get a first prize of Rs 5,000, second prize of Rs 4,000, third prize of Rs 3,000 and three consolation prizes of Rs 1000 each. The entries will be accepted till 9 pm.

The Quitula Sports and Cultural Club (QSCC) at Aldona will organise its annual traditional All Goa Individual Singing Competition on November 27 at the Club Hall from 4.30 pm.The competition will be held in the three categories of Sub Juniors (up to 10 years), Juniors (11-15 years) and Seniors (16 years and above).Given the high popularity with a large number of participants, an elimination round will be held this year on Sunday, November 20.
