Anjuman Himayatul Islam High School, Baina, Vasco Da Gama, Goa recently celebrated its Founder’s Day in the school premises.
The chief guest for the day was Razia J Shah, senior most primary teacher of the school and the other dignitaries who graced the occasion virtually were Chairman of the School Iqbal Mohidin and Manager Nazir Sayed. The Headmaster MP Dabholkar, staff members and awardee students were also present. Parents and other students attended the programme virtually. The programme commenced by observing one minute silence as a tribute to the founders. This was followed by a cultural programme - “Twinklers 2021” presented by the students virtually.
The deserving students of primary and secondary section were presented with the ‘Best boy’, ‘Best girl’, ‘Most Disciplined Student’, Best Sports Person’ and ‘Star of Anjuman’ awards. The prize winners of the various curricular / co-curricular activities held during the academic year 2020-21 were also declared.
A short video film was presented expressing gratitude towards the covid-19 warriors for their selfless service. The headmaster presented the school annual report in which he briefed about the eventful journey and achievements of the school during the academic year 2020-21. The Chairman Iqbal Mohidin in his address fondly remembered the hardwork, and commitment of the founders in the establishment of the institution.The programme was compered by Tafseena Sirkazi. The welcome speech was delivered by Amina A Shaikh. The vote of thanks was proposed by Pradnya V. Naik. The programme was technically executed/ assisted by Abdul Wahab Khan.
