An inter-school drawing competition was organised by Berger Paints India Limited, Goa factory on the occasion of the National Safety week on March 10 and 11. The competition was conducted in two groups for 5th-7th standard and 8th-9th standard. Around 30 students participated in the competition. The theme of the competition was safety. The winners are as follows: Group 5th-7th Standard; 1st place - Vaibhavi Volvoikar (Smt IVB Dhavlikar HS, Dhavali Ponda), 2nd place - Omkar Kadam (Wagle HS, Mangeshi), 3rd place - Anvi Naik (Wagle HS, Mangeshi), Group 8th-9th Standard; 1st place - Chaitanya Ravi Velip (SS Samiti’s India Bai Dhavalikar HS, Dhavali Ponda), 2nd place - Gaurang Velingkar (Shiksha Sadan HS, Bhoma) and 3rd place - Jitendra Singh (New English HS, Kundaim). Prizes were awarded to winners on the valedictory function of National Safety week 2023. Speaking on the occasion, Factory head Venkata Ramana Dumpala stressed on the need for the parents and teachers to inculcate a culture of safety among the children.
