The Cinephile Club will be screening an all-time-classic ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ (1971) on March 16 at Maquinez Palace, Old GMC Complex, Panaji. The three-hour film directed by Norman Jewison will be showcased as a tribute to the actor Topol, who passed away a few days ago. The film, based on a musical play of the same name, was nominated for 8 Oscars and won 3, including best music and song for John Williams.
PANAJIAn inter-school drawing competition was organised by Berger Paints India Limited, Goa factory on the occasion of the National Safety week on March 10 and 11. The competition was conducted in two groups for 5th-7th standard and 8th-9th standard. Around 30 students participated in the competition. The theme of the competition was safety.
