The Bicholim police on Thursday registered an FIR under the provisions of the IT Act in connection with a case of cyber fraud to the tune of Rs 2 lakh. In a complaint, Udit Teli of Bicholim stated that from November 21, 2024 to November 25, 2024 at Bicholim, the accused, Sharath Kumar DK of Chitradurga-Karnataka had induced the complainant to invest Rs 2 lakh online by using electronic gadget in coconut business and duped the complainant. Acting on the complaint, Bicholim police registered a case under Sections of 318 (4) BNS and Sec 66, 66 D of IT Act and further investigation is in progress by Police Inspector Dinesh D Gadekar under the guidance of Bicholim SDPO Jivba Dalvi and supervision of SP North Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
