Book on forensic medicine released

Dr Pannag S Kumar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology of Goa Medical College released his first book titled “Pictorial Forensic Pathology & Toxicology “ A Colour Atlas”, published by I P Innovative Publication, New Delhi. The book was released at the hands of the Chief Guest, the Director General of Goa Police Dr Indradev Shukla, at a function at Goa Medical College Auditorium on March 8, graced by Guests of Honour Former Principal District and Sessions Judge, Goa and present Member of Goa State Human Rights Commission Desmond D’ Costa, the Director of Prosecution Theodolinda Sarojini Sardinha and  Dr Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of GMC. The Chief Guest Dr Shukla congratulated Dr Pannag for his hard work in authoring the book which has been well written in a style that can be easily understood by anyone and that the book would help strengthen the criminal justice system. Desmond D’Costa emphasised the importance of Forensic Medical Evidence in investigating and adjudicating cases of crimes and lauded the author for working in the best interests of the society and for helping the cause of advancement of science.

PANAJIA Jesuit priest with a doctorate in Islamic Studies will speak on Christian-Muslim relations during a two-day online talk on 'An introduction to Islam' hosted by Collaborative Learning Cafe (CLC) on March 27 and 28 from 6.30 pm to 8 pm.
